Cookie policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Camden Portal uses as few as possible: just two, both there to log you in and keep your account safe.
The cookies we use
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
cp | Keeps you logged in as you move between pages, and protects forms against forgery. It holds a random ID only, not your name or email. | Up to 30 days, or until you log out |
cp_dev | Only set if you tick “Remember this device” when you enter a login code. It tells us you’ve already confirmed this device, so we don’t text you a code each time. It holds a random ID only. | Until you forget the device on the Login & security page, change your password or clear your cookies |
Both are marked secure and HTTP-only, so they’re only sent over HTTPS and other scripts can’t read them. Because they’re essential to logging in safely, they don’t need your consent and there’s no cookie banner.
What we don’t use
- No analytics or visitor tracking (no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel).
- No advertising or social media cookies.
- Nothing that follows you to other websites.
Things that aren’t cookies
- Google Fonts: your browser downloads the site’s typefaces from Google, which sees your IP address. Google doesn’t set cookies for this.
- Links to other sites, such as WhatsApp sharing, maps, business websites or the Geekheads link, take you to sites with their own cookie and privacy policies.
Turning cookies off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can still browse without cookies, but you won’t be able to log in, review or post. Clearing cookies means you’ll be asked for a login code again.
More about how we handle your information is in the privacy policy. Questions? Email hello@camdenportal.au.
